My Services
Initial Evaluation & Treatment
A comprehensive hour-long examination is performed to assess your spine and hip mobility, postural and pelvic alignment, movement patterns, strength, and coordination. In addition, an abdominal wall and breathing mechanics assessment is done. An internal exam of the pelvic floor will be conducted (unless otherwise stated) to assess skin integrity, sensation, coordination, strength, flexibility, and tone of your pelvic floor muscles. This involves one gloved lubricated finger into the vaginal or rectal canal.
At the end of the evaluation, you will be provided with assessment points and what will need to be addressed based on your goals. Education and treatment is included. Intentional time to share your story and answer questions is built in.
Follow Up Sessions
A 60-minute session based on your individualized plan of care. This includes neuro re-education such as learning how to improve your brain-to-body connection and how to coordinate your deep core muscles and pelvic floor as the foundation. Manual therapy and holistic techniques include soft tissue mobilization (manual massage, massage cupping, and/or gua sha), myofascial release, visceral mobilization, and pelvic realignment with aromatherapy and breath work. Other treatment interventions include but are not limited to somatic exercises, nervous system regulation strategies, vagal nerve stimulation, Mat Pilates/therapeutic exercises, creative functional activities, and holistic education and treatment. Self-treatment techniques and “homework" included.
My Values
I view the pelvic floor as a vulnerable but powerful place of self. I understands how personal, distressing, and challenging it can be to have pelvic floor issues and I have worked with many clients who have been gaslit about their pelvic symptoms. My mission is to help clients reclaim control over their bodies and soothe their symptoms to live their best lives with confidence and joy. When I’m not treating clients in the office, at the hospital, or in their home; you'll likely find me chasing after my toddler, supporting my community with queer BIPOC-centered social justice initiatives, and being in nature with my loved ones.
What I Treat:
I serve the Highland Park community by working with Women, Men, Nonbinary + LGBTQI Community (Couples and Individuals), Complex Pelvic Pain + Perinatal Care. You can find a list of the types of issues I treat HERE.
